Onyi + Bossah: Prewedding Shoot
August 12, 2015
Mornings in the city of Ibadan are serene. That is my conclusion as I write this blog post, viewing the cityscape from the window. Our team has photographed a wedding here in Ibadan for three days now and it is super exciting when we shoot outside the all-too-familiar Lagos. We can’t wait to shoot upcoming weddings in Dubai and the U.S. later this year! Destination weddings are still in vogue and we would be more than happy to photograph yours anywhere in the world! Contact us as soon as possible so you can take advantage of our discount offers on destination weddings in 2016.
In today’s post we share with you pre-wedding shots of the lovely, delectable Onyi and her cool, calm and dashing husband, Bossah.
We met Onyi and Bossah for the first time after we got a call from The Wedding Company, the official wedding planner. This would be one more of the several occasions when we have worked with the planner, including photographing corporate events for No Surprises Events, their sister company. After meeting with Onyi at her MUD (Make-Up Designory) office in Lekki, it was such an easy and safe conclusion that this would be a great experience. We discussed venues and creative ideas. Onyi, a fashion lover whose daily job includes creating make-up products and providing quality education to clients, wanted to recreate the best memories of her days as a single lady.
Locations for the pre-wedding shoot include: Lekki Conservation Centre, Marwa Beach and a park on Victoria Island. Marwa Beach is a secluded beach in a government restricted area in Lekki. More reassuring was the fact that it is secured by military personnel all day long!
With just two days available for pre-wedding shoot, the couple patiently listened and cooperated with us as we put them through the different poses. Gentle Bossah kept his cool as smiled anytime we asked for one – which was many times! Onyi was also never tired of smiling and posing for the camera. One interesting part of the shoot was their pet. It was such a nightmare trying to make her act the scenes below. Apparently, night time is no good time to get a pet in the mood for a photo shoot.
It was a pleasure photographing Onyi and Bossah’s pre-wedding and white wedding. Whilst we look forward to posting pictures from the white wedding very soon, we hope you enjoy the pre-wedding shots below! We specially thank The Wedding Company team for planning our schedule and for the props. We are also grateful to @iamDodos for styling Onyi. Great to always have you around for shoots like this!
